I wanted to start the brand new year afresh.
I thought it would be different somehow after the clock struck midnight
but after standing on this side of the new year and looking back
i realized that i have not gone anywhere.

Somehow i dont think it would make a difference.
I carried all my burdens with me.
And the new year is after all,
just another year.
